Job Description
Receives products into the warehouse accurately and efficiently and ensures products are readily available for order filling and ships or assists with order shipping, order picking, order packing, and will call assistance as needed.
Positions Essential FunctionsMaterial Handlers can take on four roles: processing, stocking, picking, and replenishing.
Processing includes unloading, checking in and labeling of product.
Stocking consists of the putting up of product in storage shelves and bins in any part of the building including the warehouse or showroom.
Picking includes pulling and staging product either for shipping or customer pickup.
Replenishing consists of moving product from secondary to primary storage shelves or bins.
Be able to competently function in any of these or other material handling duties as necessary.
Work as a team player with other staff and communicate in a professional and courteous manner with both co-workers and customers alike.
Attend training seminars on products, services, computer functions, and business education in the areas of responsibilities.

Special projects or duties as assigned by management; however, GD Supply believes that each associate’s

Physical Requirements
Be able to lift or move 70 pounds and to be able to stand or walk for long periods while reaching and bending.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Professional communication skills including neat penmanship, accurate spelling and grammar
Good working knowledge of the computer software and the electronic devices related to this job description.
Self starter with a positive attitude
Ability to work with others and to perform multiple tasks
Ability to work rapidly and accurately with a strong attention to detail
Ability to learn quickly and work with minimal supervision
