Summary

Maintain buildings in a clean and orderly condition by performing heavy cleaning duties, routine maintenance, and ensuring safety. Responsibilities include cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, removing rubbish, and clearing snow or debris from sidewalks.

Primary Responsibilities

Service, clean, and supply restroomsGather and empty trashClean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuumingFollow safe procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipmentPrepare cleaning solutions by mixing water and detergents or acidsNotify managers of major repair needs and requisition supplies and equipmentClean windows, glass partitions, and mirrorsAdditional Responsibilities

Perform other duties as assigned by management

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

No previous work-related experience requiredAbility to read, listen, and communicate effectivelyBasic coordination and time management skillsPhysical ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and climbingKnowledge of safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment maintenance
