The Billing & Revenue Operations Analyst is responsible for maintaining the integrity of customer, contract, site, and revenue data within NetSuite while supporting the company’s billing and invoicing processes. This role serves as the primary owner of customer and contract setup, monthly revenue accrual management, and cross-system reconciliations to ensure financial and operational data remain accurate, complete, and aligned.
This position plays a critical role in supporting revenue recognition, invoicing accuracy, and scalable business operations as QE Solar continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Customer, Contract & Revenue Management
- Create and maintain customer records within NetSuite.
- Set up new customers, contracts, sites, and amendments as new business is awarded or renewed.
- Own and maintain O&M contract data within NetSuite, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Manage monthly revenue accruals for assigned customer contracts and service sites.
- Support recurring, milestone-based, and time-and-materials (T&M) billing processes.
- Assist with invoice generation, review, and issue resolution to ensure timely and accurate billing.
Data Integrity & Reconciliation
- Reconcile customer, contract, and site information between NetSuite, business development records, and operational systems.
- Maintain accurate active site and asset records within company operational platforms.
- Perform recurring audits and reconciliations to identify discrepancies between systems.
- Investigate and resolve mismatches involving contract status, site activity, billing records, and revenue accruals.
- Validate data prior to billing cycles to minimize invoicing errors and revenue leakage.
- Support month-end close activities related to contract and revenue data.
Process Improvement & Reporting
- Support automation, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives by ensuring reliable source data.
- Help establish and maintain data governance standards and documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve billing accuracy, contract administration, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Business Development, and Customer Success teams to resolve data and process issues.
Qualifications
Required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in billing, revenue operations, contract administration, accounts receivable, or a related finance function.
- Hands-on NetSuite experience, including customer setup, contract administration, billing, and accounts receivable processes.
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies across multiple systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience leveraging AI and technology tools to improve productivity, accuracy, and process efficiency.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience with NetSuite Suite Billing, Subscription Billing, or Revenue Management modules.
- Industry experience in renewable energy, solar, utilities, construction, field services, or asset management.
- Experience with field service management, ticketing, or work-order systems.
- Exposure to multi-entity accounting environments and intercompany billing processes.
- Understanding of revenue recognition concepts and contract-based billing structures.

The pay range for this role is:
80,000 - 90,000 USD per year(New Jersey HQ)
