This role sits at the core of a high-impact engineering organization responsible for enabling secure, scalable, and efficient software delivery across complex environments. You will lead a platform engineering team that builds and operates shared infrastructure services powering product and engineering teams across cloud, hybrid, and highly secure deployments. The position combines hands-on technical leadership with people management, requiring strong architectural judgment and operational discipline. You will help define the standards, tooling, and workflows that shape how software is built, deployed, and maintained at scale. Working closely with cybersecurity, product, and engineering leaders, you will ensure the platform is reliable, compliant, and optimized for developer productivity. This is a highly collaborative role where your decisions directly influence speed, security, and engineering effectiveness across the organization. - Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Platform Engineers, providing technical direction and removing blockers
- Define and implement platform strategy across Infrastructure as Code, GitOps workflows, and service onboarding
- Own platform reliability, scalability, observability, and cost efficiency across all environments
- Drive operational excellence including incident management, postmortems, runbooks, and continuous improvement
- Partner with cybersecurity, product, and engineering teams to ensure secure and compliant infrastructure delivery
- Influence architectural decisions and translate strategic goals into actionable execution plans
- 5–8+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles
- 2+ years of engineering management or technical leadership experience
- Strong expertise with Kubernetes, AWS or multi-cloud environments, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible)
- Experience building and operating scalable platform services for engineering teams
- Strong understanding of hybrid and air-gapped environments and related security constraints
- Experience defining SLOs, operational metrics, and incident response frameworks
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience with GitOps, observability tools, or regulated environments is a plus
