Job Description

Professional Services Specialist - Policy

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Professional Services Specialist - Policy in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of public safety expertise, policy management, and client success, supporting agencies as they implement and maintain critical policy content and compliance-driven documentation. You will work directly with public safety organizations to customize policy manuals, guide implementation projects, and ensure that updates are accurately reflected in client systems. Acting as both a subject matter advisor and project coordinator, you will help agencies align their policies with best practices in risk management and operational standards. The position requires strong attention to detail, structured project execution, and the ability to manage multiple client engagements remotely. You will also deliver training, provide ongoing support, and ensure smooth adoption of policy tools and updates. This is a highly collaborative role where your work directly contributes to safer, more effective public safety operations across agencies nationwide.

Accountabilities

You will manage end-to-end policy implementation and client project execution, ensuring that public safety agencies receive accurate, practical, and compliant policy content tailored to their operational needs. This includes coordinating timelines, editing policy materials, and guiding clients through implementation and ongoing updates.

  • Lead policy implementation projects from initiation through completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to scope and quality standards.
  • Review and customize agency policies in alignment with risk management principles and established content guidelines.
  • Coordinate client communication, gather feedback, and ensure updates are properly integrated into final policy outputs.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, documentation, and reporting across multiple client engagements.
  • Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing support to clients using policy management systems and tools.
  • Oversee policy update cycles and Daily Training Bulletin (DTB) validation and release processes.
  • Maintain accurate records, track project performance, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Requirements

This role requires a strong background in public safety operations and policy management, combined with excellent organizational and project management skills. You should be comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating closely with clients and internal teams.

  • Experience in public safety leadership (law enforcement, fire, corrections), including first-line supervisory experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in public safety policy development, editing, or management.
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles within public sector environments.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-phase projects with strict timelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate policy requirements clearly.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities in a remote setting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to build strong relationships with public safety stakeholders and internal teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Benefits
  • Hourly compensation: $30–$32/hour (based on experience and credentials)
  • Remote work within the United States
  • Opportunity to support mission-critical public safety agencies nationwide
  • Structured training and ongoing professional development
  • Collaborative, veteran-led team environment
  • Career growth opportunities within a growing professional services organization
  • Exposure to policy, compliance, and project management at scale
  • Stable full-time role with consistent project workload
