Accountabilities:

  • Architect and maintain distributed microservices and backend systems to ensure reliability, scalability, and seamless cross-platform integration.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams during discovery to evaluate feasibility, prototype solutions, and refine feature definitions.
  • Implement observability frameworks including logging, monitoring, and alerting to ensure system health and operational excellence.
  • Break down complex technical initiatives into actionable engineering tasks and drive execution across cross-functional teams.
  • Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and promotion of engineering best practices and design patterns.
  • Continuously improve system performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks while enhancing platform scalability and reliability.
  • Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to strengthen overall team capability.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including shipping production-grade systems.
  • 3+ years of experience in distributed backend systems and microservice architectures, ideally within an eCommerce or consumer-facing environment.
  • Strong full-stack development skills, including experience with React, Next.js, GraphQL, Node.js, and modern front-end frameworks.
  • Strong backend and infrastructure knowledge, including experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Kubernetes.
  • Experience building scalable web and mobile applications, with strong preference for React Native experience on iOS and Android.
  • Proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and experience with caching systems like Redis.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to operate independently in fast-paced environments.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range of $170,000–$200,000 USD, plus equity compensation.
  • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, vision, and parental leave.
  • Unlimited paid time off, company holidays, and dedicated mental health days.
  • Employee Stock Purchase Program and 401(k) with employer matching.
  • Fully remote work environment with flexible scheduling.
  • Offsite team retreats and collaborative in-person gatherings.
  • Strong focus on wellness, inclusion, and employee belonging.
  • Opportunity to work on impactful products improving healthcare accessibility and customer experience.
