This role sits at the heart of a fast-paced aviation Operations Control Center, where real-time decision-making directly impacts flight safety, punctuality, and customer experience. You will oversee daily OCC activities, ensuring smooth coordination between flight dispatchers, pilots, maintenance, and ground operations. Acting as both a leader and operational expert, you will guide a high-performing team while maintaining strict regulatory compliance across complex, 24/7 flight operations. The environment is dynamic and high-pressure, requiring strong situational awareness and rapid problem-solving. You will play a key role in optimizing operational performance and minimizing disruptions across a global aviation network. This is a critical leadership position for someone who thrives in operational excellence and aviation coordination.
- Oversee daily Operations Control Center (OCC) activities ensuring compliance with aviation regulations, company policies, and safety standards
- Coordinate flight operations including flight planning, crew scheduling, aircraft assignment, and resource allocation
- Monitor real-time operational performance and proactively manage delays, disruptions, and irregular operations
- Collaborate with pilots, flight crews, dispatchers, maintenance, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
- Implement contingency plans during operational disruptions such as weather events or technical issues
- Conduct quality investigations and support corrective and preventive actions
- Lead team coaching, communication, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with international aviation authorities and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Transport Canada, FAA, EASA)
- Minimum 1+ year of experience in aviation operations, preferably within an OCC environment
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, flight planning, and operational procedures
- Excellent communication skills in French and English (additional languages are an asset)
- Ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment with rotating shifts (evenings, weekends, holidays)
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills under pressure
