This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer in India.
This role is focused on building and owning an automation-first quality engineering function within a rapidly evolving product environment. You will be responsible for transforming a largely manual testing setup into a scalable, reliable, and modern automated testing ecosystem. The position plays a critical role in improving release confidence across fintech and AI-driven product capabilities. You will define the automation strategy, select frameworks, and embed testing deeply into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows. As a senior QA leader, you will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and business teams to shift quality left and ensure testability is built into every stage of development. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape the foundation of quality engineering practices in a scaling platform.
- You will define and lead the QA automation strategy, building a roadmap to significantly reduce reliance on manual testing.
- You will design, implement, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for APIs, web applications, and backend business logic.
- You will develop robust automated test suites covering regression, smoke, and critical business workflows, including financial and accounting logic.
- You will integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous validation across build and release cycles.
- You will prioritize automation coverage based on risk, business impact, and system criticality.
- You will collaborate with engineering and product teams to define quality gates and ensure testability is embedded early in development.
- You will manage defect tracking, validation, and reporting using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
- You will support compliance requirements (SOC 1 / SOC 2) by maintaining testing evidence and documentation.
- You will establish quality engineering practices that scale with the growth of the product ecosystem.
You should bring strong experience in quality engineering with a deep focus on test automation, framework design, and CI/CD integration. This role requires both technical depth and the ability to drive quality practices across engineering teams in an independent, ownership-driven environment.
- You have 6+ years of experience in QA engineering with a strong emphasis on test automation.
- You have hands-on experience building or significantly scaling automation frameworks from scratch.
- You are experienced in automating API testing (REST/SOAP), web applications, and backend/data validation workflows.
- You have strong programming or scripting skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar.
- You have experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and release workflows.
- You are familiar with Azure DevOps or similar defect tracking and test management tools.
- You have exposure to Microsoft Dynamics Business Central 365 (preferred).
- You understand testing practices for scalable systems, including regression, smoke, and performance-aware testing.
- You are comfortable working independently and owning end-to-end quality outcomes.
