PM Apprentice Technician

- Perform light maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, replace broken switches etc.)
- Maintain filtration systems by replacing filters to ensure functionality
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix lock, door hinges, replace gaskets etc.)
- Assist in the set up of refrigeration and other systems and conduct minor repairs when necessary
- Communicate professionally with customers
- Follow EPA, safety, and company compliance standards
- Maintain tools, truck inventory, and job site cleanliness
- Participate in ongoing technical training and development programs
- Assist with emergency service calls alongside experienced technicians as needed
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in commercial maintenance (trade school or field experience welcomed)
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record required
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or with little supervision
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs. and work in varying indoor / outdoor conditions
- Ability to climb ladders, work from heights, and crawl in tight quarters
- Own industry standard hand tools
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation as needed
Compensation TransparencyThe advertised pay range for this position is $18-$25 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience level, certifications, skill set, and overall qualifications. Candidates with prior hands-on commercial cooking and refrigeration experience or relevant technical training may be considered at the higher end of the range.
