Position Title: Teacher Assistant
Location / Program: SRVS (An Affiliate of Inperium / Managed by Apis Services, Inc.)
Pay Rate: $13.00 / hour (DailyPay Available – access earned wages before payday)
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM | Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities
As a Teacher Assistant, you will direct the daily activities of adolescent males within the program using positive behavioral management principles, maintaining safety, and exercising independent judgment during crisis situations.
Daily Responsibilities:
  • Classroom Support: Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing daily activities that foster cognitive, speech/language, fine/gross motor, self-help, and social-emotional development.
  • Goal Progress & Documentation: Support the tracking and documentation of children’s progress aligned with Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) goals.
  • Classroom Maintenance: Help setup classroom materials; maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment; and organize toys, equipment, and learning materials after sessions.
  • Positive Environment: Build a nurturing, inclusive atmosphere for children and families while encouraging positive behavior management.
  • Professional Engagement: Attend required staff meetings, professional development learning (PDL) sessions, and specialized trainings. Follow all program policies and safety protocols.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required).
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience caring for or working with young children.
  • Basic knowledge of early childhood development and developmental milestones.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to collaborate effectively under the guidance of the Lead Teacher and Director of Children's Services.
  • Demonstrated patience, enthusiasm, and sound judgment in everyday and crisis situations.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist individuals throughout the day.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
