This is a fully remote opportunity for an experienced mortgage professional responsible for guiding residential loan files from documentation through underwriting and approval.
You will work closely with borrowers, Loan Officers, branch teams, vendors, underwriters, and other internal partners to keep transactions moving efficiently.
The role combines detailed financial and documentation review with proactive customer communication and pipeline management.
You will manage a substantial portfolio of active loans while meeting service-level expectations and targeted funding volumes.

This is a fast-paced environment suited to organized, analytical professionals who take ownership and consistently deliver against deadlines.

Accountabilities:
  • Obtain, review, and verify borrower documentation related to credit, income, assets, employment, title, payoffs, and other underwriting requirements.
  • Communicate directly with borrowers, Loan Officers, vendors, and branch teams to resolve documentation gaps and obtain information needed for final approval.
  • Conduct thorough loan file reviews to ensure packages are complete, accurate, and ready for underwriting, proactively identifying potential issues.
  • Prepare loan approval summaries and complete required submission, resubmission, closing, and compliance checklists.
  • Manage a pipeline of approximately 40 active loans, prioritizing files according to service-level agreements, estimated closing dates, and business priorities.
  • Maintain a target of at least 27 funded units per month while ensuring files progress within established turnaround times.
  • Review loan files for compliance with applicable mortgage regulations, including RESPA, TIL, HMDA, Regulation B, and Regulation Z, and prepare required disclosures and redisclosures.
  • Document all loan-related communications and activity in the loan origination system and maintain accurate records throughout the process.
  • Participate in branch pipeline calls and provide coverage for colleagues when required, including helping resolve outstanding documentation and suspense items.
  • Partner with closing, secondary, and servicing teams to obtain documentation needed to clear outstanding items.
  • Complete required training on schedule, adapt working hours or provide occasional overtime when business needs require it, and perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of residential mortgage processing experience, with demonstrated ability to manage loan files through underwriting and approval.
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage and consumer lending regulations, including RESPA, Regulation Z, Regulation B, and related loan documentation requirements.
  • Previous experience using Encompass or a comparable loan origination system.
  • Working knowledge of Desktop Underwriter (DU), Loan Prospector (LP), Microsoft Outlook, and Windows.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple active files, manage deadlines, and consistently meet service-level and closing expectations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the professionalism required to work effectively with borrowers, vendors, loan officers, and other stakeholders.
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal partners who may speak either language.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote position based in the United States.
  • Competitive compensation package.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage for eligible employees.
  • 401(k) retirement benefits.
  • Company-provided short-term disability coverage.
  • Employee assistance program.
  • Wellness program.
  • Opportunities to build a long-term career within a growing organization.
  • Supportive, collaborative work environment with opportunities to work across departments and teams.
