Clinical Endoscopy Technician
Our Clinical Endoscopy Technicians work collaboratively to promote optimal diagnostic clarity and prevent delays in gastrointestinal care for both inpatient and outpatient populations. Functioning as a vital member of the healthcare team, you will perform selected patient care activities under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. By providing comprehensive procedural assistance and high-quality equipment management, our technicians proactively engage with patients to provide connection and clinical clarity. We view our endoscopy specialists as a critical component of the care plan and recognize the incredibly positive impact they have on the digestive health journey and outcomes of our patients. We hope you are excited by the opportunity to deliver diagnostic care in a way that redefines the patient experience through teamwork, compassion, and excellence!

A Typical Day:

  • Assisting physicians and nursing staff directly during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Reviewing planned cases in advance, anticipating equipment and instrumentation needs, and ensuring rooms are fully prepared for efficient workflows.
  • Overseeing the specialized care, precise handling, and proper maintenance of complex endoscopy equipment and high-tech scopes.
  • Verifying physician orders, confirming correct patient identification using two distinct identifiers, and safely instructing patients on the upcoming procedure.
  • Proactively identifying and reporting safety issues, including hazardous environments, equipment errors, or technical defects.
  • Complying strictly with healthcare infection control protocols, departmental safety initiatives, and medical terminology documentation standards.

This role might be for you if:

  • You excel at prioritizing and performing multiple critical tasks seamlessly within a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • You are a dedicated team player and team builder who maintains a responsive, courteous, and highly cooperative space for patients and colleagues.
  • You possess strong communication skills to work seamlessly with nursing staff, departmental directors, and physicians for prompt test processing.
  • You proactively look out for patient vulnerabilities and strictly adhere to standard identification, sanitation, and safety policies.
