Job Description

As an Office Manager, your primary responsibility is to provide the attorneys and legal assistants with support related to law firm operations and client services. You will assist in managing both administrative and substantive work in the law firm.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative work
- Managing personnel matters, including attendance
- Running payroll
- Managing time off requests
Of Counsel Network Management
- Interviewing and onboarding new Of Counsel attorneys for summons defense and federal case work
- Managing existing relationships with Of Counsel attorneys
Client Services
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, handling inquiries and requests promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate client meetings, conference calls, and appointments, and manage attorney’s schedule accordingly.
Administrative Support
- Assist attorneys in managing their calendars, appointments, and deadlines.
- Prepare and submit expense reports, track billable hours, and handle other administrative tasks as needed.
Project Management:
- Develop and implement strategies that help the law firm run more efficiently.
- Develop key performance indicators for all positions across the law firm.
- Identify areas of improvement across the law firm and implement methods to improve upon them.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
- At least three (3) years of experience in office management, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
- At least two (2) years of experience supervising legal staff.
- Excellent communication and client service skills.
- Proficiency in legal software, MS Office suite, and document management systems.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Understanding of confidentiality and ethical standards in the legal field.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when necessary.

Typical Work Environment/Conditions: Cubicle, air conditioned, moderate noise, extended phone and computer usage.
Essential Functions/Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for long periods of time, speak on the phone (headset), extended computer and keyboard use.
