In this role, you will serve as a key legal partner supporting procurement and vendor management activities within a fast-paced healthcare organization. You will lead the negotiation, drafting, and review of a wide range of complex commercial and healthcare-related contracts that underpin critical business operations. Acting as a trusted advisor to procurement and cross-functional teams, you will help shape contracting strategy while ensuring legal, regulatory, and operational alignment. The role blends strategic counsel with hands-on legal execution, requiring strong judgment in managing high-impact vendor relationships. You will also contribute to improving contracting processes, templates, and workflows to increase efficiency and consistency across the organization. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with business leaders while influencing how external partnerships are structured and managed at scale. - Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of complex vendor agreements, including healthcare-specific contracts such as pharmacy benefit management and utilization management arrangements.
- Manage a broad portfolio of commercial contracts, including software licenses, master service agreements, NDAs, and BAAs supporting core business operations.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to procurement and internal stakeholders, providing practical legal guidance and risk-based decision-making support.
- Act as a primary legal resource for contract-related questions, ensuring consistency, clarity, and compliance across contracting processes.
- Improve and optimize vendor contracting workflows, including the development of templates, standards, and contract management systems.
- Evaluate and implement technology solutions, including AI-enabled tools, to enhance contracting efficiency and scalability.
- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare, corporate, and regulatory requirements across all vendor agreements.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school with 10+ years of experience as a contract attorney, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- Strong background in drafting, negotiating, and interpreting complex commercial and healthcare-related agreements.
- Solid understanding of corporate law, vendor management frameworks, and contract lifecycle management.
- Experience working with contract management systems and improving legal operational workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to act as a trusted business partner in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with a collaborative, solution-oriented approach.
- Ability to balance legal risk with business objectives while maintaining practical, actionable guidance.
