Supervisor Packaging 2nd Shift in Calhoun, Georgia at Apache Mills

Apache Mills, Inc., a worldwide leader in floor mat manufacturing, is “Moving Forward” as it continues to grow its manufacturing operations. We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our Operations Team. The Production Supervisor is a full-time position supporting 2nd shift. Below is not a complete job description and other duties could be assigned as required by business conditions.

Requirements:

Experience managing high volume production processesComputer software knowledge,Microsoft Outlook,Word and background working with payroll sotware. demonstrated compliance of OSHA standards in a manufacturing environmentworking 40+ hours per week with flexibility to alter coverage.the ability to manage multiple task and provide expected resultsmaintaining regular and predictable attendancecommunicating effectively with employees at all levels of the organizationworking cooperatively, courteously, and respectfully with all team members, vendors, and visitorsfollowing verbal and written instructionscomplying with company processes and proceduresBilingual Preferred but not requiredAbility to secure and maintain a valid lift truck lincensesuccessfully completing drug and background screenings

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Ensuring production requirements are achieved by adhering to assigned schedulesPlanning, managing, monitoring, and evaluating the work flow to ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are achievedDeveloping and implementing plans for efficient labor utilization and staffing needsReviewing effectiveness of operating procedures and space utilization, modifying when necessaryEvaluating and troubleshooting systems and processes that impact production efficienciesMonitoring and addressing equipment repairs, maintenance repairs, and safety concernsPartnering with maintenance and engineering to optimize equipment performance and reliabilityCreating and promoting an environment that encourages exceptional customer serviceProviding leadership in developing the workforce to include recruiting, selecting, and developing hourly employeesMentoring and empowering employees through delegation and coachingSupporting and administering company policies and procedures consistentlyEnsuring good housekeeping in all areas of the facility including manufacturing, distribution, and common areasMeeting or exceeding all performance and productivity standardsPromoting a safe and healthy work environment on all company property to achieve the best working conditions for all employees and visitorsEnsuring compliance with all regulatory and company policies and proceduresPerforming other assignments as requested or as business needs requireExperience operating Forklift
