Job Description
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Assists the Vice President of Strategic Enrollment Management and other admissions personnel in the planning, organization, and administration of the undergraduate admissions program at the University. Assists with graduate recruitment activities and enrollment management functions as needed.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Reports directly to the Associate Dean of Admissions and indirectly to the Vice President of Strategic Admissions; will work on team projects under the leadership of designated team leaders.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
Supervises subordinate classified, contracted, and student employee personnel assigned to the area (at the discretion of the Associate Dean of Admissions); serves a leadership role with assigned tasks.
EXAMPLES OF SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all aspects of the transfer recruitment process, including the development and execution of recruitment strategies, partnership building with feeder institutions, management of the transfer applicant pipeline, and implementation of initiatives to meet enrollment goals.
- Attends off-campus recruiting events, which include college fairs, individual visits, and other recruiting events.
- Meets with prospective students and communicates application procedures to students, parents, and community college advisors.
- Serves as a member of the Admissions Committee; independently reviews applications and makes admissions decisions and merit-based scholarship decisions.
- Conducts admissions information sessions (individual and large group formats).
- Builds professional working relationships across campus who are directly involved in recruitment, enrollment, and retention of new students.
- Assists in the preparation of statistical data/reports appropriate to the Admissions Office.
- Assists in the evaluation of the publications, programs, and overall recruitment strategies of the Admissions Office.
- Assists in the recruitment and selection of prospective freshmen applicants for Framingham State University, as needed.
- Available to serve on special and/or standing committees of the University.
- Trains new/seasoned staff on file review (transfers)
- Assumes major responsibility for one or more assigned areas.
- Assume responsibility for special projects as assigned.
- Strives to maintain and augment knowledge and skills in the admissions field through advanced study, professional activities or participation in conferences, seminars, workshops, and similar professional gatherings.
- Actively contributes to deliver a working environment that promotes optimism, collaboration, respect, solution-conscious dialogue, and exceptional service to everyone.
- Responsible for reporting to the Equal Opportunity Officer or Title IX Coordinator knowledge or receipt of reports of discrimination, discriminatory harassment, and retaliation from students or other members of the university community.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is conducted in an office environment or at various recruiting locations. The position requires some evening and weekend work, especially during peak times. In accordance with the University's Staff Telework Guidelines, this position may be eligible for some hybrid work opportunities following a provisional period and a determination of employee suitability.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree with five (5) or more years of professional experience in admissions-related work;
- Demonstrated knowledge of higher education principles, practices, and procedures;
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with faculty, administrative staff, classified personnel, and students;
- Demonstrated ability to express oneself effectively in written and oral communication;
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work;
- Ability to work occasional weekends and nights;
- A valid U.S. driver's license and access to reliable personal transportation;
- Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree
- Demonstrated experience with Axiom Elite, Ellucian Banner, Techolutions Slate, and programs related to the Unified Digital Campus (e.g., Xtender and Argos)
- Knowledgeable of Framingham State University's programs
- Candidates who are bilingual in English and Spanish or English and Portuguese are strongly encouraged to apply
Additional Information:
This is a full-time, exempt, benefits-eligible position in the Association of Professional Administrators (APA) bargaining unit with a union title of Associate Director. The starting salary range is $70,000 - 74,000.
