Marketing Operations Specialist

Utilize data, complex logic and coding to develop, QA and execute one-off email/push communications and
automated marketing campaigns. Effectively set up and deploy promotions and offers for customers and
Runners
What You'll Do:
  • Contribute to the execution of marketing initiatives; develop and optimize customer, Runner, and store partner communications across email, push, SMS, and in-app channels.
  • Ensure campaigns are strategically aligned, delivered on time, and continuously improved through data-driven insights.
  • Architect technical solutions for complex marketing scenarios to support new initiatives and improve existing processes; build and test solutions independently; ensure accuracy and alignment with campaign requirements.
  • Independently perform end-to-end QA on customer and Runner campaigns; validate logic, segmentation, personalization, and discounts across all channels; resolve basic issues and escalate more complex problems when needed.
  • Independently support the setup and verification of advanced testing agendas across customer and Runner communications; validate targeting, logic, and campaign behavior.
  • Partner with the lifecycle marketing and business analytics teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure testing is completed on time.
  • Investigate and respond to more complex inquiries from the support team including issues related to lifecycle communications, promotions, and campaign setup; collaborate with cross-functional partners as needed and ensure escalated issues are resolved accurately and efficiently.
  • Contribute to documentation with creation and updating of process guides for campaign execution, QA, and testing; ensure documentation is clear, accurate, and accessible; identify areas where updates are needed as tools and workflows evolve.
  • Track and report on channel-level performance of lifecycle marketing and promotional initiatives.
  • Provide clear summaries and recommendations for improvements; ensure reporting is accurate, consistent, and actionable.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute campaigns across customer and Runner communications; validate builds against requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure execution aligns with strategy and creative intent.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to provide feedback on new tools and functionality; assist with testing and share insights from campaign execution to ensure solutions meet marketing needs.
  • Share knowledge with peers; document learnings, answer questions, and collaborate closely during campaign builds; contribute to a culture of shared learning and offer support on tooling, QA, and process execution as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills You Have:
  • A relevant degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a marketing or technical role including experience in systems integration,
    CRM/email marketing, developing marketing campaigns in Braze or comparable CRM platform, and
    creating emails using HTML; technology / app experience highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of audience segmentation and database concepts with ability to apply them to campaign builds; strong technical skills (HTML & database fundamentals) and marketing knowledge; strong writing and communication skills with ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Ability to thrive in a technically focused role with increasing independence and effectively blend technical skills and marketing knowledge to execute campaigns; strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills
  • Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills and ability to take ownership of projects; ability to learn quickly, troubleshoot effectively, and apply solutions with increasing independence
  • Flexible and adaptable with ability to manage multiple projects under pressure and meet tight deadlines; ability to consistently maintain quality and balance shifting priorities
  • Team player with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects; ability to contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team; ability to foster a positive, team-oriented environment

Where you'll work: This role can be hybrid or remote, depending on the team members location in Texas. If you live in Austin, Texas, we ask that you work from home roughly three days per week and work at our HQ for the remaining work days. If you live in a different city in Texas, you will primarily work from home, with the opportunity to travel to Austin for company-wide events.
