This role is focused on supporting US tax compliance operations within a fast-paced, fully remote international environment. You will play a key part in preparing and filing federal, state, and local tax returns while ensuring accuracy across multiple jurisdictions and deadlines. Working closely with finance and accounting teams, you will contribute to tax reporting, provision processes, and regulatory compliance activities. The position offers exposure to complex US tax structures, including ASC 740 processes and multi-state taxation. It is ideal for a detail-oriented professional eager to build strong technical expertise in corporate tax within a global client-facing context. You will also assist in monitoring legislative changes and supporting audits or tax authority inquiries. - Prepare and file US federal, state, and local tax returns and supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission across multiple jurisdictions.
- Assist in the quarterly and annual income tax provision process (ASC 740), supporting financial reporting and reconciliation activities.
- Conduct tax research and document findings related to compliance issues, regulatory updates, and transactional matters under US tax law.
- Support multi-state tax compliance activities, including nexus analysis, sales and use tax filings, and related reporting obligations.
- Maintain and reconcile tax-related general ledger accounts in coordination with broader finance operations.
- Assist in responding to tax notices, audits, and inquiries from federal and state tax authorities.
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accuracy of tax data, reporting, and disclosures in financial statements.
- Track and monitor changes in tax legislation that may impact compliance requirements and reporting obligations.
- Strong working knowledge of US federal and multi-state tax law is mandatory.
- 1–3 years of experience in tax compliance, either in corporate tax or public accounting environments.
- Hands-on experience preparing tax returns and supporting compliance processes across multiple jurisdictions.
- Familiarity with ASC 740 tax provision processes and foundational tax accounting principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification or active progress toward CPA is preferred.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and precise approach.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and capacity to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Prior experience working remotely with US-based companies and proficiency with tools such as Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace is required.
- Exposure to tax software, ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite or QuickBooks), or tax compliance tools is a plus.
- Bonus: experience with sales tax platforms, audit support, or international/partnership taxation.
