Are you passionate about providing compassionate care and supporting patients during their hospital stay? Join our team as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) and play an important role in delivering high-quality hospital patient care.
Reporting to the Nursing Manager, the Patient Care Technician works under the direction and supervision of licensed nursing personnel to assist with essential patient care tasks. Care is delivered in accordance with the philosophy and standards established by the Nursing Services Department, as well as all hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
This role is ideal for individuals interested in building experience in acute care, medical-surgical units, nursing support, or healthcare careers.
What You’ll DoAs a Hospital Patient Care Technician, you will support the nursing team by assisting with direct patient care, including:
• Taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Assisting patients with basic care needs and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Supporting nurses with patient comfort and care tasks
• Observing and communicating patient needs to licensed nursing staff
• Maintaining a safe and organized patient care environment
• Providing excellent customer service to patients and families
• Documenting information using electronic medical record systems
Your role helps ensure patients receive attentive, safe, and supportive care during their hospital stay.
Minimum Qualifications Education• High School Diploma or GED required
Experience• Minimum one year of acute care experience or medical-surgical clinical experience preferred
Licensure & Certification• BLS Certification – Healthcare Provider required
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred
Successful candidates will demonstrate:

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Basic computer and electronic documentation skills
