Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer for AI in United States.
This role sits at the intersection of software engineering and applied artificial intelligence within a modern, cloud-native digital banking environment. You will design and deliver AI-powered capabilities that directly shape user experiences across financial products and developer tools. The work focuses on integrating large language models and machine learning systems into production-grade services with strong emphasis on safety, reliability, and compliance. You will collaborate closely with product, data, security, and engineering teams to translate AI innovation into real-world features at scale. The environment is fast-evolving, highly collaborative, and centered on continuous experimentation and improvement. Engineers in this role are expected to think critically about AI behavior, especially in regulated fintech contexts. Your contributions will have a direct impact on both customer experience and platform intelligence.
In this role, you will design, build, and deploy AI-driven features across a financial technology platform, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and production-ready.
- Design and implement AI-powered capabilities such as intelligent assistants, natural language interfaces, and automated workflows across digital banking products
- Integrate LLMs and AI services from providers such as Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI into production systems with strong prompt engineering, validation, and safety controls
- Collaborate with product, design, QA, data, and engineering teams to deliver end-to-end AI features aligned with user and business needs
- Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, reliability, and regulatory compliance within financial services environments
- Contribute to internal documentation and best practices for AI development patterns, reuse, and governance
- Participate in code reviews and help elevate engineering standards for AI-driven development across teams
- Evaluate and recommend emerging AI tools and frameworks to improve platform capabilities and development efficiency
- Ensure AI features meet security, privacy, and compliance requirements typical of regulated fintech environments
This role requires strong software engineering experience combined with practical, hands-on exposure to AI and LLM-based systems in production environments.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including backend and distributed systems development
- 1–2+ years of experience integrating AI/ML or LLM-based features into production applications
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js and experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
- Hands-on experience working with LLM APIs (e.g., Claude, OpenAI) including prompt engineering, tool use, and function calling
- Experience deploying applications in cloud environments, with preference for AWS-based infrastructure (Amazon Web Services)
- Ability to critically evaluate AI outputs, balancing automation with verification and safety considerations
- Strong understanding of building secure, scalable systems in regulated environments (e.g., fintech, SOC 2, data privacy standards)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Competitive annual salary range of $170,000 – $190,000
- Remote-friendly and flexible working environment with periodic in-person team gatherings
- Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI systems in a fast-growing fintech product space
- Collaborative, innovation-driven engineering culture focused on continuous learning
- Exposure to modern AI tools, LLM ecosystems, and evolving applied AI practices
- Paid time off, holidays, and supportive work-life balance policies
- Strong emphasis on engineering autonomy, experimentation, and technical ownership
- Opportunity to influence AI strategy and tooling within a high-impact product organization
