This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Legal Counsel, Europe in Ireland.
This role offers the opportunity to operate at the intersection of law, financial services regulation, and cutting-edge fintech innovation within a fast-scaling global organization. You will provide legal guidance across a wide range of business activities, including product development, cross-border expansion, and regulatory compliance in highly dynamic markets. The position involves close collaboration with global legal, compliance, and business teams, ensuring that new financial products and services are launched in a legally sound and scalable way. You will also play a key role in drafting and negotiating commercial and customer-facing agreements that support institutional and retail offerings. This is a highly impactful role where your legal expertise directly influences product strategy and international growth. - Provide day-to-day legal advice to internal stakeholders across a wide range of regulatory, commercial, and operational matters.
- Support the design and rollout of new financial products and services, including cross-border activities and regulatory considerations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate customer agreements, disclosures, account documentation, and website legal content.
- Manage and negotiate commercial agreements with institutional clients, partners, and counterparties.
- Assist in handling regulatory inquiries and interactions with UK, EU, and global financial regulators and exchanges.
- Collaborate closely with external legal counsel when specialized expertise is required.
- Ensure legal risk is properly assessed and mitigated across business initiatives and product developments.
- Qualified lawyer (solicitor or barrister) with 3–5+ years of relevant experience in financial services, fintech, law firms, or regulatory environments.
- Strong academic background with excellent legal analysis and reasoning capabilities.
- Proven ability to interpret and simplify complex legal and regulatory concepts.
- Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional, and globally distributed teams.
- Strong business judgment with a practical, solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to independently manage legal projects from initiation through execution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interest in fintech, digital assets, capital markets, or blockchain technologies is highly valued.
