This leadership role offers the opportunity to shape and scale Medicaid product strategy within a mission-driven healthcare environment focused on improving outcomes for vulnerable populations. You will guide cross-functional product teams, translating enterprise and Medicaid priorities into clear, executable roadmaps that deliver measurable member and business value. The role blends strategic vision with hands-on leadership, requiring strong alignment across Agile teams, business stakeholders, and compliance partners. You will play a key role in advancing product management maturity, driving innovation, and ensuring regulatory alignment across the portfolio. Operating in a highly collaborative and matrixed organization, you will influence enterprise decision-making and product direction. This is a high-impact position where your leadership directly contributes to improving healthcare access, quality, and equity.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Managers and Product Owners, fostering accountability, collaboration, and high performance across Medicaid product lines.
- Define and maintain product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmaps aligned with enterprise Medicaid priorities and measurable business outcomes.
- Drive end-to-end product delivery alignment across Agile Release Trains (ARTs), ensuring effective collaboration with technical and business stakeholders.
- Oversee product intake, prioritization, and sequencing using value-based frameworks to optimize investment decisions and delivery impact.
- Champion Agile and Lean Portfolio Management practices, including PI planning, backlog refinement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor product performance, regulatory compliance, and member outcomes, using data insights to guide strategic adjustments.
- Represent the Medicaid product portfolio in executive and enterprise planning forums, communicating strategy, progress, and value realization.
- Identify market, regulatory, and technology trends to inform innovation and product evolution within Medicaid offerings.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, public health, or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive product management experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role managing Product Managers or Product Owners in complex, matrixed environments.
- Proven experience translating enterprise or Medicaid strategy into actionable product roadmaps with measurable outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead Agile or Lean Portfolio Management practices, including participation in Agile transformation initiatives.
- Experience presenting to executive stakeholders and contributing to enterprise-level planning and prioritization forums.
- Strong background in coaching, mentoring, and developing product teams in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills, with experience delivering executive-level documentation and presentations.
- Preferred: Master’s degree, SAFe or equivalent Agile certification, and Medicaid or healthcare product experience with regulatory exposure.
- Preferred: Experience leading large-scale transformation or digital modernization initiatives in healthcare or related industries.
- Competitive annual base salary range: $138,900 – $191,000, with eligibility for performance-based bonus incentives.
