Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Performance Engineer in India.
This role is focused on ensuring the scalability, reliability, and high performance of complex, large-scale cloud-based applications used by thousands of global customers. You will work at the intersection of engineering, architecture, and operations to identify bottlenecks, analyze system behavior, and optimize performance across microservices environments. The position involves deep collaboration with development, infrastructure, and product teams to design realistic performance test scenarios and improve system resilience. You will leverage advanced monitoring, profiling, and load testing tools to proactively detect and resolve performance issues before they impact users. Operating in a fast-paced, cloud-native environment, you will play a critical role in shaping system efficiency and engineering excellence. This is an opportunity to influence core platform performance and ensure robust, high-quality digital experiences at scale.
In this role, you will design and execute performance testing strategies to identify bottlenecks, validate system scalability, and ensure application reliability under real-world conditions. You will build monitoring tools and frameworks to proactively track performance metrics and analyze system behavior across services and infrastructure. A key part of your work will involve collaborating with engineering teams to troubleshoot performance issues, optimize system architecture, and ensure SLA compliance across APIs and services.
- Develop tools and frameworks to identify, measure, and monitor application performance bottlenecks
- Design and execute load, stress, scalability, and performance regression testing scenarios
- Analyze production issues and translate them into reproducible performance test cases
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize application and infrastructure performance
- Monitor system metrics such as CPU, memory, network usage, GC behavior, and database performance
- Conduct application profiling, JVM tuning, and root cause analysis of performance issues
- Support capacity planning, performance modeling, and scalability forecasting
