Summary:
The Electrical Engineer will lead electrical and instrumentation projects from design through implementation while supporting plant operations, equipment reliability, safety initiatives, and capital improvements. This position will work closely with plant personnel, engineering teams, and third-party vendors to ensure electrical systems are operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards.
As an Electrical Engineer, You Will:
- Lead electrical and instrumentation projects from design through full project execution.
- Design medium and low voltage electrical systems ranging from 12,470V to 24V.
- Develop electrical specifications, technical drawings, calculations, and engineering documentation.
- Utilize AutoCAD and engineering software to support project planning and execution.
- Design and support PLC cabinets, MCCs, switchboards, and instrumentation systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and plant personnel to troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation issues.
- Conduct inspections and audits to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, and applicable engineering standards and codes.
- Develop specifications and support purchasing activities for electrical equipment and materials.
- Prepare project budgets, capital expenditure requests, labor estimates, and material cost projections.
- Supervise contractors, project teams, and plant personnel during project execution.
- Support installation, calibration, startup, testing, and modification of electrical systems.
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and instrumentation issues.
- Prepare engineering reports, project updates, and technical documentation.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedules and budgets.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of Electrical Engineering experience within an industrial manufacturing environment required.
- Experience designing medium and low voltage electrical systems required.
- Experience with PLC cabinets, MCCs, switchboards, and instrumentation systems required.
- Working knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E required.
- Experience utilizing AutoCAD and related engineering software preferred.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering standards, codes, and best practices.
- Proven project management, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology required.
