Launching in the Fall of 2026, Recess Hotel & Club will transform Savannah’s storied Manger Building into a new kind of lifestyle hotel and clubhouse. With 221 rooms—including suites and bunk rooms—plus co-working, a rooftop pool, a circuit-based wellness club, a French brasserie, and layered social spaces, Recess is designed as a “public club”: a private clubhouse for all. Locals, members, and travelers will come together to eat, drink, work, play, and connect.
The project builds on the momentum of Hotel Bardo Savannah, Left Lane’s flagship urban resort that opened in 2024. About the role
We seek the “best of the best” restaurant professionals passionate about food, elevated service, and beverage experiences. Our Culinary team at Recess Hotel & Club is currently looking for a motivated and attentive Cooks. In this role, you will work with a team of hospitality partners who are dedicated to delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
What you'll do
- Support the Chef and Sous Chef team in ensuring proper line setup prior to service
- Provide support and prep in all areas of food production and storage in accordance with standards
- Assist in ensuring food is prepped, produced, and plated to quality and timeliness standards
- Communicate needed prep or 86’d items to the Chef after service
- Ensure compliance with cleanliness and sanitation and maintain an organized work environment
Qualifications
- Hard-working team player with a positive attitude and strong attention to detail and a passion for hospitality
- Familiarity with safe and sanitary food handling and preparation
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
- Effective Communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to endure abundant physical movement in various work area
