Job Description
To assist members by servicing their existing mortgage loans, including but not limited to, escrow processing, open line of credit advance request processing, payoff request processing and research of archived documents. Assists mortgage originators in closing and post-closing processes related to mortgage lending, including but not limited to, document capture, auditing of documents and operational support.
Requirements:Education A high school education or GED.
Experience: Three to five years in a financial institution. Prefer three years of consumer and/or mortgage lending experience, including processing, underwriting, or booking loans. Two or more years in the title insurance industry in lieu of lending experience is acceptable.
Interpersonal: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation. Must be able to coordinate information between members and loan officers in an organized fashion.
Other Skills:
Proficiency in the use of a personal computer to include MS Word, Excel, and ability to use web and web-based applications; experience with Branch Suite, and Loans PQ, Xpress strongly preferred. Must have good verbal and written communication skills, including good grammar and diction; attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and change attention focus quickly. Keyboarding of 30 WPM are preferred. Understanding of loan underwriting concepts and lending risks are required. Understanding of personal financial statements, cash flow, and tax returns are preferred.
Other required skills include the ability to describe and sell appropriate products and services to members; self-motivation to complete job tasks as assigned with minimal supervision; eagerness to learn new information in a fast-paced environment, and adaptability to apply new information as appropriate. Professional presentation and the ability to maintain a calm demeanor under potentially stressful circumstances is required. Those who hold this position must be eligible for registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
