Summary:
Bognet Construction is seeking a Marketing Specialist with 3+ years of experience to support marketing and business development efforts. The Marketing Specialist will be an integral part of the team involved with client acquisition, brand awareness, and expansion into new markets.
The Marketing Specialist role will manage a mix of traditional and digital marketing projects. This may include leading firm or client-focused marketing projects and campaigns; developing marketing collateral and presentations; coordinating Request for Proposal (RFP) pursuits; and managing Bognet’s communication channels including email and social media. Additional marketing and business development activities may include market research, participation in networking activities, and coordinating vendors.
The role is in-person at our centrally located office in Tysons, VA. As an employee-owned company, the Marketing Specialist is eligible to participate in Bognet’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Lead the development of proposals, presentations, and pursuit materials that help win new business.
- Partner with business development, preconstruction, and operations teams to develop compelling pursuit strategies and client messaging.
- Create engaging marketing content, including project profiles, award submissions, social media, website content, and other client-facing materials.
- Manage multiple marketing initiatives and proposal deadlines while delivering high-quality, detail-oriented work.
- Manage Bognet's website, social media, email marketing, and other external communications.
- Champion and protect the Bognet brand across all marketing and communication efforts.
- Coordinate photography, video, events, promotional materials, and other marketing initiatives.
- Support client appreciation, internal communications, and company events.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and outside vendors to ensure successful project execution.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, elevate content, and enhance the overall effectiveness of the marketing team.
Required Education and Experience:

- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 3 Years’ Experience desired in a marketing role. Experience in the Architecture/Engineering/Construction industry is a plus.
- Intermediate understanding of marketing foundations – traditional marketing and new media
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, MS Office, and comfort with learning new software such as Salesforce
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to independently manage multiple projects.
