About the Role:

Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials and products within a non-durable goods manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, managing inventory levels, and collaborating with production and distribution teams to meet delivery schedules. The coordinator will oversee logistics operations during the shift, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards while optimizing transportation and warehousing processes. By proactively identifying and resolving logistical challenges, this role supports continuous production and customer satisfaction. Ultimately, the Logistics Coordinator contributes to minimizing costs and maximizing operational efficiency across the supply chain.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in logistics coordination or supply chain operations, preferably within manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse teams and external partners.
  • Understanding of the supply chain process
  • Experience with ERP systems and transactions
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to solve complex issues
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and other computer applications preferred
  • Excellent communication, time management, planning, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently, and proactively
  • Ability to complete short- and long-term projects, multitask, and prioritize

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in non-durable goods manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS).
  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP).
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to transportation and safety standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule daily shipments and deliveries to meet production and customer requirements.
  • Manage inventory levels by tracking stock movements and collaborating with warehouse personnel to ensure accuracy.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve any logistical issues promptly.
  • Monitor transportation costs and performance metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards throughout logistics operations.
