This part-time role supports the on-air appearance of announcers and talent across remote sports productions.
You’ll create polished, camera-ready makeup looks that perform consistently under HD lighting and production conditions.
The position combines makeup artistry with hair styling, requiring versatility across different hair textures, lengths, and styling needs.
You’ll work in fast-paced environments where efficiency, precision, and professionalism are essential.
Because productions may take place at different sporting locations, the role includes travel based on production needs.

- Create natural, polished, and camera-ready makeup looks that perform well under different lighting conditions and on HD cameras.
- Assess skin tones and match complexion colors to appropriate palettes and products to achieve professional on-air results.
- Apply, remove, and adjust makeup efficiently based on talent feedback and production requirements.
- Style hair to complement each client’s features and on-camera appearance, recommending adjustments when appropriate.
- Work confidently with a variety of hair textures and lengths, including blow-drying and selecting appropriate products and styling techniques.
- Maintain speed, accuracy, and composure while working under tight production timelines and changing priorities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace while ensuring all tools and instruments are properly sanitized.
- Follow applicable health, safety, hygiene, and workplace requirements.
- Build positive professional relationships with announcers, celebrities, hosts, guests, athletes, and other talent.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while adapting to remote production schedules, locations, and evolving needs.
- Travel to production locations as required and remain available for weekends and holidays based on sporting events and production schedules.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of freelance makeup artistry or professional makeup artist experience.
- Cosmetology, aesthetics, or equivalent professional license required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Demonstrated ability to create clean, natural, camera-ready looks suitable for HD production.
- Strong understanding of complexion matching, makeup application, lighting considerations, and professional on-camera presentation.
- Experience styling different hair textures and lengths, including blow-drying and selecting suitable hair products.
- Excellent time-management skills and the ability to estimate and manage styling time accurately.
- Ability to work quickly and precisely in time-sensitive, high-pressure production environments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the professionalism required to work with talent at all levels.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills, particularly when responding to changing remote production needs.
- Ability to interpret creative direction, address concerns constructively, and use professional judgment and artistic instincts.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a professional environment with minimal supervision.
- Flexible availability for travel, weekends, holidays, and varying production schedules.
- Part-time, fully remote position with production-based travel as required.
- Hourly pay range of $22.00–$88.50, depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
