JOB SUMMARY
The Inspection Stamper (Composites) 1st Shift will perform routine visual inspections of components, parts, and/or products for the Clean Room, according to detailed job instructions and procedures. Identifies routine quality issues and resolves problems to meet quality requirements. This position will need knowledge and experience with placing resin pre-impregnated fabrics and tapes onto layup molds using hands, wrists, and arms to apply pressure and remove air pockets. This position will also need knowledge and experience in handling and preparing adhesive core and other layup materials, while cutting vacuum bag materials to create vacuum bags.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBLITIES/FUNCTIONS
- Perform in process inspections for the Laminating Department, and identify any issues with ply layup, FOD, bridging, and assisting technicians in remedy prior to next operation.
- Ability to inspect parts in which errors are difficult to detect and would normally result in loss of customer business, material, or equipment to resolve.
- Ensures layups and vacuum bags are prepared according to the requirements of manufacturing travelers.
- Must be able to read basic instructions and diagrams in English.
- Must have knowledge of basic shop math skills (ruler & calipers).
- Familiar with standard shop practices and quality standards in the aerospace industry.
- Ability to do accurate work at a fast pace.
- Ability to form materials to molds and remove air bubbles using hands, squeegees, and heat guns.
- Ability to trim laminated fabric using scissors or knife.
- Ability to perform documents audits and educate on the importance of accuracy.
- Knowledge of complete functions with minimal scrap or errors.
- Great understanding of NADCAP & AS9100 requirements.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS AND CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
Minimum Position Qualifications:
Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Experience: Minimum two years on the job experience as a Composite Technician or related technical role.
Other: Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

Shift: Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm, plus overtime as necessary
