Position Summary:

As a CNC Machinist, you will operate and set up CNC multi-axis machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements. The machinist is responsible for machine setup, tooling, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintaining quality and productivity standards.

Shift Assignment: This position may be assigned to either the day shift or night shift based on operational and production needs. Candidates should be flexible and available to work either shift as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate 4-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centers.

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions.

• Load, verify, and adjust CNC programs and offsets.

• Select, install, and measure cutting tools and workholding fixtures.

• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM equipment as required.

• Make machine adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish.

• Troubleshoot machining problems, tool wear, vibration, and dimensional issues.

• Perform tool changes and monitor tool life.

• Verify material, tooling, programs, and setup documentation before production.

• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.

• Follow safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.

• Keep machines, tools, and work areas clean and organized.

• Work with programmers, engineers, quality personnel, and supervisors to resolve production issues.

• Assist with continuous improvement efforts to improve cycle times, quality, and machine efficiency.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or machining education preferred.

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience, preferably with multi-axis equipment.

• Experience with 4-axis/5-axis CNC machining is strongly preferred.

• Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.

• Strong knowledge of cutting tools, feeds and speeds, workholding, and machining processes.

• Ability to use precision measuring instruments.

• Experience with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, or Mazak is preferred.

• Ability to troubleshoot machining and quality issues independently.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
