While we provide the environment, we need you to provide the expertise. In this role, you will be the primary guardian of our landscapes' vitality, ensuring that every new sod, tree, and shrub across our residential and commercial sites receives the water it needs to thrive.
Your Daily Impact:
[Precision Hydration Management: Safely operate a water truck across multiple job sites, delivering water to plant materials using hoses and side sprayers while adjusting application methods based on site-specific needs.
Logistical Independence: Follow complex site maps and routing schedules to complete daily assignments efficiently, ensuring our newest landscapes never miss a beat.
Digital Site Documentation: Complete electronic work tickets with detailed notes and photos, tracking plant health and site conditions using company mobile applications.
Vehicle & System Stewardship: Conduct rigorous daily pre- and post-trip inspections of pumps, hoses, spray systems, and brakes, reporting any mechanical concerns immediately to minimize downtime.
Site Coordination Support: Assist with pool filling and other water-related tasks as required, collaborating with Project Managers to align your route with field priorities.
Unwavering Safety Focus: Operate with high situational awareness near pedestrians and traffic, adhering to all traffic laws and participating in daily FLRAs and tailgate meetings.
To truly thrive in this role, you’ll need a solid foundation of skills and the right mindset:
Knowledge:Working knowledge of Alberta traffic laws and commercial vehicle inspection requirements; understanding of site safety protocols and PPE requirements.
Skills: Proficiency in using GPS navigation and mobile workforce applications for digital reporting; basic mechanical aptitude for identifying vehicle or pump issues.
Abilities: Minimum 3 years of driving experience; valid Alberta Class 3 License or non-GDL Class 5 with Air Brake (Q) endorsement; physical stamina to pull heavy hoses and navigate uneven terrain in varying Alberta weather conditions.
