We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Labor Compliance Administrative Assistant to support California public works and prevailing wage compliance efforts across active construction projects. What You’ll Do
Labor Compliance & Certified Payroll
- Prepare, review, and submit weekly certified payroll reports (CPRs) for California public works projects.
- Upload payroll documentation through the California DIR portal and systems such as LCP Tracker and Elations.
- Track compliance deadlines and ensure all required submissions are completed accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to collect and review certified payroll reports and supporting documentation.
- Identify deficiencies, discrepancies, or missing information and follow through until resolved.
Documentation & Administrative Support
- Maintain organized, audit-ready compliance files across multiple active projects.
- Assist with DAS 140, DAS 142, fringe documentation, and project closeout compliance requirements.
- Support responses to audits, agency inquiries, and compliance reviews.
- Assist with onboarding projects into compliance tracking systems and maintaining reporting accuracy.
Team Coordination & Communication
- Work closely with payroll, HR, project managers, subcontractors, and external compliance partners.
- Communicate professionally and confidently regarding compliance requirements and documentation needs.
- Help improve internal compliance processes, organization, and reporting workflows.
What You Bring
Experience
- 2+ years of administrative support experience required.
- Experience with certified payroll, prevailing wage, public works, or construction administration strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting multiple projects and managing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Skills
- Experience with LCP Tracker, Elations, EComply, or similar compliance systems preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with Vista by Viewpoint or construction ERP systems is a plus.
