Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the GCCS to ensure regulatory compliance and system optimization
• Calibrate, operate, and maintain sensitive electronic data collection devices used to monitor landfill gas extraction
• Perform data collection and data entry from wellfield extraction and environmental monitoring points
• Execute the GCCS preventative maintenance plan
• Operate and maintain liquid management systems using pneumatic or electric pumps
• Troubleshoot liquid levels in containment structures and gas collection wells
• Conduct wellfield valve and vacuum adjustments and interpret system data
• Perform maintenance using PVC and HDPE piping and associated materials
• Complete required Landfill Gas Technician training program
• Follow all job-related health, safety, and environmental procedures
• Respond to on-call GCCS malfunction events as needed

What We’re Looking For

• 18 years of age or older
• Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting ability
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying environmental conditions
• Ability to read gauges, meters, and technical monitoring equipment
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
• Ability to work independently and follow technical procedures
• Willingness to be on-call for emergency response

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid and unrestricted Driver’s License (Required)

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

This role requires the ability to:

• Stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl for extended periods
• Lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials
• Work in outdoor environments including extreme heat, humidity, wet conditions, noise, vibration, and temperature changes
• Maintain awareness in potentially hazardous atmospheric conditions
• Perform repetitive motions and maintain strong eye/hand coordination
