The primary role of the Project Coordinator (PC) is to maximize the efficiency of the Project Management team while maintaining excellent communication between customers, PM, and design staff. In this role you will work with the ISAT Project Management, Technical, and Administrative staff to optimize the success of the project, ensuring all active projects stay on budget and schedule. As a PC you share the responsibility of establishing, maintaining, and enforcing the policies, procedures, and systems (both local and corporate) necessary for the long-term operational success of the technical side of our business. This position is in-office, full-time, and regular attendance is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
- Foster a culture of accountability and high-performance standards within the team.
- Prioritize and reorganize tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
- After the PO is secured, work closely with a Project Manager (PM) to gather information, help open lines of communication with the client, and begin tracking project deliverables.
- Responsible for setting up kickoff meetings with clients on high-value projects. Will take meeting minutes, fill out the Project Information Worksheet (PIW), provide a Point of Contact list, and assemble product submittals to ensure the project gets off to a good start.
- Become proficient in proprietary Project Management Software (Nexus) and assist PMs in entering information and tracking projects and their deliverables.
- Use established project management tools to track and monitor the progress of all ongoing projects while also developing new tools and systems as necessary.
- Work with PM Teams to create and track orders, while also providing logistical information to clients.
- Work closely with the ISAT Administrative support staff to create Sales Orders, Material Releases, and Vendor POs. Help keep track of all orders to ensure they are invoiced properly and in a timely manner.
- Identify opportunities within existing ISAT clients and projects, and work with Sales team to capture sales opportunities and relationships that impact the generation of billing dollars.
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of what products/components could be utilized on projects and be able to apply the ISAT line of supported products.

The following list of items represents areas in which you will be provided the opportunity to learn and expand your skills. All the following skills are required to move into greater roles with the ISAT Total Support North Carolina Branch:
- Assist with the training of new hires at the branch. Have a working knowledge of training documents and how to assign them to new employees. Provide hands-on teaching and guidance to reinforce their training and growth.
- Develop and implement a Lean project production system and work coordination routines, including daily check-ins, weekly cycle planning, and phase pull planning.
- Lead weekly planning and status update meetings, producing progress reports towards project goals.
- Coordinate the efforts of engineering support teams for the conveyance of multiple process, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Develop customer relations and communication skills and perform presentations to contractors, general contractors, owners, inspectors, etc.
- Able to speak on ISAT's behalf in all forms of correspondence and face-to-face meetings. Most importantly representing ISAT Total Support in front of any audience and able to answer or derive workable solutions to issues.
- Understand building codes, ISAT manuals, and associated engineering. Able to understand the applications of the IBC, ACI, ASCE, OSHPD CANS/PINS, etc. Use this knowledge to help all technical staff with any in-depth issues and pitfalls.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in a project support, project coordination, or administrative role within the construction, engineering, or manufacturing industries is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, AutoCAD, or similar project management/construction software is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, designers, clients, and administrative staff.
• Willingness to learn proprietary software (Nexus) and ISAT product lines.
