Job Description

The roleOpen new pest control accounts for our AEs — by phone, by email, and in person at the industry's biggest conferences. Grind your way to AE in 12–18 months.
Why this BDR job is different1. You sell into an industry we actually know. Our team broke door-to-door pest control rookie records and ran pest control businesses before building Sellify AI. You'll be selling to people whose work you genuinely understand — and you'll have ammo most BDRs would kill for.2. You travel where the deals happen. 1–2 trips per month to PestWorld, Ignite, and regional shows. Conversations that take 6 weeks over email happen in 6 minutes at a booth.3. Promotion to AE in 12–18 months is real. Concrete bar, clear path, no vague "someday" language. Hit it and you graduate.
What you'll do
  • Prospect pest control operators through phone, email, and LinkedIn
  • Travel 1–2x/month to industry conferences and on-site prospect visits
  • Research accounts deeply before reaching out — operator size, current software, growth signals
  • Book Qualified First Meetings for AEs
  • Hit monthly meeting-set quotas
  • Be in our Logan office every day you're not traveling

You'll fit if you
  • Have 1–3 years of outbound sales experience (SaaS, D2D, or summer sales — we care about the results, not the channel)
  • Can name real numbers — meetings booked, deals closed, where you ranked
  • Have pest control or service-industry experience (door-to-door background is a strong plus)
  • Actually want to travel. This role is wrong if you need to be home every night
  • Are willing to be in Logan every day you're not on the road
  • Apply feedback to the next call, not next quarter
Bonus: PestPac, FieldRoutes, or other pest-software familiarity · conference selling experience · daily AI tool use
Compensation
  • Base: $50,000–$60,000
  • OTE: $60,000–$85,000 (base + meeting bonuses + quarterly accelerators)
  • Promotion: Account Executive in 12–18 months for consistent performers
  • Travel: Company-paid
  • Relocation: Up to $3,000 for moves to Cache Valley
  • Other: Unlimited PTO, parental leave, full equipment, training budget
