Job Description

Director, Technical Execution Excellence

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Technical Execution Excellence based in United States.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, technology execution, and enterprise delivery governance, ensuring that complex digital and AI-enabled field workflow solutions move seamlessly from ideation to scalable implementation. You will act as the execution backbone across intake, experimentation, pilot validation, and enterprise rollout, bringing structure and discipline to highly cross-functional initiatives. The role is designed for a leader who thrives in ambiguity and can translate technical complexity into clear, actionable delivery paths. You will partner closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to ensure readiness standards are met and maintained at scale. Your work directly impacts how efficiently solutions are adopted across field teams and how reliably they perform post-launch. This is a high-visibility leadership role requiring strong execution rigor, technical fluency, and stakeholder alignment in a matrixed environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Own end-to-end execution orchestration across the solution lifecycle, including intake shaping, pilot validation, adoption readiness, and enterprise implementation handoff, ensuring smooth progression across stages.
  • Define, enforce, and continuously improve scale-readiness standards, including quality gates, acceptance criteria, and operational guardrails to prevent post-launch instability.
  • Manage sequencing, dependencies, and risk across multiple concurrent initiatives, ensuring execution discipline and early resolution of technical or operational blockers.
  • Partner with engineering, product, and delivery teams to align on backlog readiness, testing strategy, environment setup, release planning, and cutover execution.
  • Convert validated pilots into fully documented, implementation-ready packages that enable predictable scaling across the enterprise.
  • Act as the final technical execution authority to arbitrate trade-offs in scope, feasibility, and sequencing decisions across stakeholders.
  • Establish closed-loop feedback mechanisms from field adoption and performance signals to continuously refine execution frameworks and delivery playbooks.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, with 8+ years of experience in complex technical delivery, platform implementation, or cross-functional technology programs.
  • Strong background in enterprise-scale execution environments such as healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices, insurance, or similarly complex regulated industries.
  • Proven ability to drive structured execution through ambiguity, with strong skills in sequencing, dependency mapping, and decision-making under constraints.
  • Solid technical fluency across digital workflows, integrations, automation, and AI-enabled systems, enabling effective challenge of assumptions and definition of readiness criteria.
  • Demonstrated experience defining and enforcing delivery quality standards, including testing expectations, release readiness, and operational stability requirements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical complexity into clear, aligned execution decisions.
  • Experience with agile delivery, release management, and operational risk practices is highly desirable, along with familiarity with responsible AI considerations.
Benefits:
  • Competitive annual base salary ranging from $160,300 to $297,700, with eligibility for performance-based incentives.
  • Annual bonus opportunities tied to individual and organizational performance.
  • Equity eligibility depending on role level and company policy.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company contribution and matching options.
  • Generous paid time off, including vacation, personal days, holidays, and additional leave programs.
  • Flexible remote working arrangements with potential travel opportunities depending on role requirements.
