Director, HR Business Partnership

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, HR Business Partnership based in the United States.

This senior HR leadership role sits at the intersection of executive advisory, organizational strategy, and people team transformation. You will act as a trusted partner to the Chief People Officer and senior leadership, helping translate business priorities into scalable people strategies across high-growth, revenue-driving functions. The role combines hands-on leadership of an HRBP team with the design of frameworks that shape how the organization approaches talent, performance, and workforce planning. You will operate in a fast-moving, complex environment where clarity, structure, and sound judgment are essential. A key part of your impact will be elevating HRBP effectiveness while enabling business leaders to make stronger, more data-informed people decisions. This is a high-visibility role with direct influence on how the organization scales its teams and leadership capabilities.

Accountabilities:
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the Chief People Officer and senior People leadership, shaping organizational strategy and key people initiatives.
  • Lead and develop a team of HR Business Partners supporting high-growth business units, ensuring consistent, high-quality partnership with leaders.
  • Translate executive priorities into actionable workforce strategies, organizational designs, and talent plans aligned with business growth objectives.
  • Build and implement scalable HR frameworks and processes across performance management, talent reviews, workforce planning, and organizational change.
  • Partner with revenue-generating and go-to-market teams to drive proactive, data-informed people strategies that support business performance.
  • Guide complex organizational initiatives including leadership transitions, capability gaps, restructuring, and change management efforts.
  • Strengthen overall HRBP capability by coaching, developing talent, and raising the standard of people partnership across the function.
  • Use data, business insights, and strong judgment to influence senior leaders and drive effective people decisions.
Requirements:
  • 8–12+ years of progressive HR Business Partner experience, including direct support of senior executives or C-suite leaders.
  • 12+ years of total HR or related experience in complex, fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Proven experience managing and developing HRBP teams with a focus on performance and capability building.
  • Strong background in organizational design, talent strategy, and leadership coaching.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and executional levels, balancing advisory work with hands-on framework development.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to influence executive stakeholders and cross-functional leaders.
  • High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and ability to navigate ambiguity and sensitive organizational situations.
  • Solid understanding of employment laws, HR best practices, and data-driven decision-making approaches.
  • Experience supporting go-to-market or revenue organizations is highly valued.
  • Exposure to scaling organizations, transformation initiatives, or M&A activity is a plus.
