About This Position
AMBULANCE ATTENDANT - BLS

POSITION OVERVIEW
- Performs and or assists in transporting of patients of all ages from Novant Health UVA Health Systems Culpeper Medical Center to other health care facilities, nursing care facilities or residence with qualified personnel as mandated by the patients condition.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:
- High School graduate or GED preferred.

Experience:
- 1 year work experience in related career

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
- Must remain calm and organized in emergent situations.
- Must be available for rotating shifts as required.
- Must have keen sense of responsibility, ability to make decisions, and work independently.
- Must have good judgment.
- Must have basic computer knowledge.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to interact effectively with the public.

Licensure/Certification:
- Basic Life Support Attendant: EMT-Basic.
- AHA BLS Healthcare Providers
- Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC)
- Must produce acceptable DMV driving record
