Job Description
Staff Accountant (QuickBooks)- Hybrid Flexibility
$50,000 - $75,000 a year
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks, a solid understanding of general accounting principles, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting monthly close and reporting processes. This position features one day of remote work per week.
Responsibilities:- Perform daily accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
- Maintain and reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
- Prepare and post journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end close
- Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks, ensuring proper classification of transactions
- Create, update, and analyze spreadsheets using Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reconciliations)
- Assist with financial statement preparation and internal reporting
- Support audits by preparing schedules and documentation
- Monitor expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis as needed
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting discrepancies
