About This Position
Job Summary:
The Switch Sales Intern is a temporary, entry-level position designed to provide hands-on experience in technical sales and customer support within the electrical power equipment industry. This role is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a Business-related field who are interested in developing practical skills at the intersection of engineering, sales, and customer service. The intern will support the Switch Sales team and Sales Support team while assisting with warranty-related claims and internal coordination. This position offers exposures to sales processes, customer interactions, product applications, and cross-functional collaboration.

This position offers exposures to sales processes, customer interactions, product applications, and cross-functional collaboration.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist the Switch Sales team with a day-to-day sales activities, including data gathering, reporting, and customer follow-ups using Salesforce
- Assist the Sales Support team with order processing, documentation, and coordination between internal departments
- Help track, review, and organize warranty-related claims and supporting documentation
- Communicate with internal teams (engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, and shipping) to ensure timely responses on customer needs
- Maintain accurate records in Salesforce, spreadsheets, and internal databases
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and product knowledge development
- Prepare basic sales presentations, summaries, and customer-facing materials as needed
- Perform general administrative and analytical tasks to support overall operations
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a Business-related field.
- Willingness and to learn quickly
- Ability to collaborate productively in a team-based environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
