Cerelia Bakery Canada (Formerly English Bay Batter) is currently looking to add some awesome new team members to our facility in Mississauga, ON.
About Cerelia Bakery Canada:
We develop and produce exceptionally high-quality products including: Fresh & frozen cookie dough and muffin batter in pre-portion sizes and scoop and bake pails for the foodservice industry as well as in-store bakeries of North American grocery, mass and club stores.
Our baked gourmet cookies and muffins are produced for distribution through multiple channels, including quick service restaurants. Refrigerated products including cookie, pastry and biscuit dough sold to North American Grocery Stores in a variety of formats including canister, chub, break-and-bake and place-and-bake.
Our Research and Development is on-going, aimed at introducing new and exciting products to complement our delectable bakery lines. We are an aggressive, flexible company dedicated to providing quality products that satisfy customer needs and marketplace demands.

THE ROLE:
The Maintenance Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the procurement of maintenance-related materials, parts, services, and MRO supplies required to support continuous plant operations in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
This role works closely with the Maintenance Manager, Planner, Supervisors, Technicians, Production, and Finance to ensure timely sourcing, cost control, inventory accuracy, and supplier performance. The position supports operational reliability by ensuring parts and services are available to minimize equipment downtime.
Essential Job Duties:
- Create, issue, and manage purchase orders for maintenance parts, contractor services, and capital spares.
- Confirm pricing, delivery timelines, and order accuracy.
- Expedite urgent or breakdown-related orders to reduce operational downtime.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations to ensure best value (cost, quality, delivery).
- Process purchase returns, warranty claims, and supplier credits.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procurement transactions.
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with internal approval and financial controls
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Planner to maintain accurate spare parts inventory.
- Monitor and maintain min/max levels for critical spare parts.
- Maintain accurate ERP and CMMS item master data (pricing, vendor information, descriptions).
- Verify incoming goods against purchase orders.
- Support inventory counts and reconciliation processes.
- Develop and maintain professional supplier relationships.
- Coordinate contractor service orders and documentation.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in identifying cost-saving and value improvement opportunities
- Support maintenance budget tracking and reporting.
- Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies with Accounts Payable.
- Maintain accurate procurement records in accordance with company policy.
- Support reporting requirements as requested by management
- Perform other duties as assigned or required
What you bring to the table:
- Post Secondary Education, preferably specializing in Supply Chain, Business Administration or Maintenance related discipline preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing or MRO environment preferred.
- Experience with ERP and/or CMMS systems.
- Knowledge of industrial mechanical and electrical components considered an asset
- Attention to detail
- High stress tolerance
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good negotiation skills required in dealing with vendors to ensure high order fill rate and on-time delivery
- Knowledge of SAP an asset
- Good computer skills in Excel, Word, Outlook
