We operate a 89-bed long term care home within Sutton Ontario. RGH provides a positive working environment, where we pride ourselves in delivering the best care in all aspects for our residents. The Food Services Manager is accountable for the efficient operation of the department, by setting annual Dietary goals and objectives, lead and manage staff to achieve the highest level of customer service, while adhering to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Policies, Health and Safety, and other programs and initiatives. The Manager will also manage, inventory control coach, motivate and develop their team to foster customer loyalty, fulfil customer needs and actively contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement. Maintain a good staffing compliment through recruitment and retentions for the department.QUALIFICATIONS:CSNM (Canadian Society of Nutrition Managers) Membership required Must have proof of COVID vaccine, TB testing and vulnerable sector police check Demonstrates an ability to problem solve Enthusiastic leader with good verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of computerized long-term care documentation programs required Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to speak, read and write English and to follow oral and written directions Understanding and empathy for the needs of seniors RESPONSIBILITIES:Member of the Home’s leadership team. Managing all aspects of the Dietary department. Ensure supplies are available for the preparation of meals according to the posted menu ensuring that all standards are met. Oversee and assist with the quality dining experience for residents. Address residents and Employee complaints quickly and efficiently Work cooperatively with the registered dietitian to ensure that the clinical dietetic needs of residents are met. Ensure that all dietary functions are performed in a clean, sanitary manner. Oversee the hiring, orientation, supervision and training of dietary staff. Inspect for food supplies and determine what quantities of food should be reordered. Ensure all MOHLTC and Public Health requirements are met. Maintain excellent documentation systems. Contribute to a home environment for residents that ensures the values of RGH. As a condition of employment, we require that all applicants be legally entitled to work in Canada. A Criminal Record Search with a vulnerable sector screen is also required. Experience:Management: 2 years (preferred) LTC: (preferred, preference will be given to applicants with LTC experience.
