CpK Interior Products Inc. is hiring a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support our Maintenance and Engineering team in cross‑functional operational activities.
This role is responsible for improving manufacturing processes to raise product quality and profitability. They plan, test, and custom make industrial products, and thus assist the engineers in implementing improvements in production and output. This position assists with various engineering projects starting from origination and carrying through the testing phase. Primarily accountable for planning, developing, and/or evaluating a new project or processes and work with other engineering departments and coordinate their specialized contributions to the development of the project, while contributing to Plant SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale) objectives.
What You’ll Do (Key responsibilities, not limited to)
- Designing specialized Jigs and fixtures
- Performing engineering tests
- Supporting product development
- Using engineering software and systems to conduct engineering design and analysis
- Analyzing problems involving machine design, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics and heat transfer
- Understanding and applying design standards (i.e. ASHRAE and ASM International)
- Using design software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD and MasterCAM
- Sets up and operates conventional, special-purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines.
- Machine set-up and programming
- Observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as needed.
- Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
- Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data
- Perform and document machine tool capability studies.
- Ensures that machine settings and programs are adhered to during production as per the Tool List and Cycle Time sheets.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in related field and/or Mechanical Engineering Technician Diploma
- Experience with programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining PLCs in manufacturing environment
- Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) through Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians Technologists) OACETT is desirable
- Project Management Experience
- Three (3) years of experience in automotive manufacturing
Work Schedule & Pay
- Schedule: Full‑time, On-site, Warehouse
- Hours: Afternoon Shift. Weekend work depending on position when scheduled as per customer demand
- Overtime: As required, in accordance with company policy and applicable legislation
- Compensation Range: $70,000 – 90,000 annually
This range reflects our current expectations as of this posting’s date. Your final salary offer will consider various key factors, including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographical locations, as well as the needs and requirements of the business.
