Job Summary
Bring energy to the evening experience! As a PM Bartender at The Canopy DC, you’ll craft high-quality beverages while creating a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere for guests. What You’ll Do- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest preferences
- Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service at the bar and in the dining area
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar (glassware, garnishes, and supplies)
- Accurately process orders using POS systems and handle cash/credit transactions
- Verify guest identification and ensure compliance with alcohol laws
- Monitor guest consumption and promote responsible service
- Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and bar supplies as needed
- Assist with inventory counts and communicate supply needs to management
- Clean and sanitize bar surfaces, tools, and equipment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service
- Address guest concerns and escalate issues when needed
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Support other restaurant operations as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and beverage preparation
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to build rapport with guests
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
- Basic math skills for handling transactions
- Professional appearance and adherence to dress standards
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible availability
- 1+ year of bartending experience preferred
- Hospitality or restaurant experience strongly preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid alcohol service certification (per local/state laws)
- Knowledge of DC alcohol laws and regulations
- English fluency required
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs (kegs, cases, supplies)
- Frequent reaching, bending, and repetitive motions (shaking, pouring, garnishing)
- Comfortable working in a busy, high-energy bar environment
- Ability to safely handle glassware and bar equipment
