About This Position

Chief Financial Officer

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial operations including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Develop and manage the hospital’s annual operating and capital budgets
  • Monitor financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to leadership
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and healthcare regulatory requirements
  • Manage revenue cycle operations and financial risk management
  • Present financial reports to executive leadership and the Board of Directors
  • Lead financial planning related to hospital growth, capital investments, and service expansion
  • Supervise finance, accounting, and related operational departments

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master’s or CPA preferred)
  • 8–10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in healthcare
  • Strong knowledge of hospital finance, reimbursement systems, and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills
  • Experience in a not-for-profit hospital preferred.
  • Exceptional physician relations and physician recruitment skills are required.
  • Exceptional leadership skills and hands on visible approach to staff management and interaction are required.
