About This Position
Chief Financial Officer
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Develop and manage the hospital’s annual operating and capital budgets
- Monitor financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to leadership
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and healthcare regulatory requirements
- Manage revenue cycle operations and financial risk management
- Present financial reports to executive leadership and the Board of Directors
- Lead financial planning related to hospital growth, capital investments, and service expansion
- Supervise finance, accounting, and related operational departments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master’s or CPA preferred)
- 8–10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in healthcare
- Strong knowledge of hospital finance, reimbursement systems, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills
- Experience in a not-for-profit hospital preferred.
- Exceptional physician relations and physician recruitment skills are required.
- Exceptional leadership skills and hands on visible approach to staff management and interaction are required.
