Job Summary:

Responsible for maintaining the EHS center’s kitchen and for all meal preparation, ensuring full compliance with the State Food Program’s regulations and required paperwork.

• Ability to plan, develop and execute meal plans
• General understanding of the nutritional needs of young children
• Proficient in basic math skills and cooking unit measurements/conversions
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Demonstrated self-initiative and adaptability
• Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of staff and families
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in basic computer skills

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent Childhood Development, or related field, is preferred.
• Experience in food preparation for large groups are required
• Experience working with the State Food Program is strongly preferred.
