Position Summary
TechR2 seeks a results‑driven Truck Driver who is a self‑starter, comfortable with travel, and committed to delivering exceptional client experiences in a fast‑paced, high‑growth technology environment. Responsible for the secure transportation of IT systems and equipment across multiple client locations. This position requires both the mechanical expertise of a professional driver and some technical skills. The ideal candidate ensures safe, compliant logistics operations while providing an exceptional client experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Transportation & Logistics
- Operate company-owned and rental trucks (up to CDL Class B or higher, depending on equipment) to transport IT assets and field service equipment between facilities and customer sites.
- Perform all pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT regulations; maintain accurate driving logs and vehicle condition reports.
- Load and secure equipment using proper lifting and load securement techniques to prevent damage or safety incidents.
- Manage route planning to ensure timely delivery and pickup schedules.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, report any mechanical issues, and coordinate service or maintenance as needed.
- Support on-site logistics, including equipment staging, inventory reconciliation, and document sign-off.
Client Service & Team Collaboration
- Represent the company professionally at client sites, demonstrating strong communication and customer service skills.
- Collaborate with the Client Success, Service Delivery, and Logistics departments to align project objectives and service deliverables.
- Communicate project status, issues, and resolutions clearly to management and clients.
- Support on-site teams during large-scale deployments, audits, or special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
· High School Diploma or equivalent required.
· Minimum 1–3 years of combined experience in commercial driving.
· Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or B) with a clean driving record.
· Current DOT Medical Certification required.
· Drivers must pass drug and alcohol tests
· A thorough background check is required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Skilled in problem-solving, critical thinking, and time management.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple daily pickups or delivers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in physically demanding environments.
Working Conditions
- Out of state travel required.
- Work performed in mixed environments including warehouse, office, and data center settings.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions during transport and delivery operations.
- Occasional work outside standard business hours to meet client deadlines.
- Must adhere to all company safety policies, security standards, and DOT regulations.
- May be required to participate in on-call rotations or emergency deployments.
Pay:
Salary:
- Starting at $60,000 or above per year, negotiable with experience and qualifications
- Per Diem for Room and board while travelling / per‑diem allowance to cover lodging and meals
