The Opportunity
Lesley University is seeking an Assistant Registrar of Records to report to the Associate Registrar. This role plays a critical function within the Registrar’s Office by supporting the oversight of complex academic records across the University’s full student population. The Assistant Registrar manages all aspects of the undergraduate degree audit process, including individual audits, resolution of discrepancies, determination of degree conferral eligibility, and preparation of final degree lists for all conferral periods.
The Assistant Registrar supports student registration by using the Ellucian student information and learning platforms, Colleague and Elevate. The role oversees academic records maintenance related to program changes, transfer credit evaluations, course waivers, and substitutions. The Assistant Registrar assists with the Academic Review process following the Fall and Spring semesters, and serves as a liaison between the Registrar's Office and the Center for Student Success & Advising.
In addition, the Assistant Registrar responds efficiently to emails and inquiries submitted through the University’s ticketing system, including requests for degree and enrollment verifications, transcripts, and student records, while maintaining strict compliance with FERPA regulations. This position requires strong technical skills, in-depth knowledge of academic policies and procedures, and a comprehensive understanding of the University’s programs of study. The Assistant Registrar provides administrative and operational support for the annual graduation ceremony and performs other related duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualities & CapabilitiesA successful candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree (required)
Two+ years of experience in a university setting, with at least one+ year in student services (preferred)
Demonstrated experience with degree audits and knowledge of student information; Prior experience with Ellucian Colleague (preferred)
Strong technical aptitude with excellent attention to detail and data management skills
Demonstrated ability to work with confidential records and materials
Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

Base Pay Range: $58,656 - $65,774 annually
