General Maintenance I
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair problems in such areas as plumbing, HVAC, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring and painting
- Complete and track assigned service requests in a safe and timely manner
- Assist with organizing and prioritizing service requests and general maintenance tasks
- Assist in the preparation of staff work assignments and preventative maintenance schedules
- Maintain customer service standards responding to all requests/complaints to minimize/solve problems in a timely and safe manner
- Assist with maintaining an inventory of supplies and tools sufficient for providing the appropriate level of service
- Regularly inspect the business grounds and buildings to identify maintenance needs
- Train and promote safe work practices according to company and industry standards
Position Requirements:
- Possess a wide range of maintenance skills and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to carry out a wide range of repairs with excellent quality
- Provide excellent customer service and people skills
- Possess a valid drivers license
- Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, holiday shift
- Majority of shift will be spent on feet in a fast-paced environment.
- Position involves frequent bending, twisting, squatting and lifting up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Education and Experience:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience: Two years of facility maintenance experience
Knowledge of safe work practices (OSHA)
